"It transmits easily," she added. "Some of these demonstrations that turn aggressive, it spreads among them. Each member wishes to get involved and turn violent. They're defending their domain or battling for dominance."

When inquired if she thought the same behaviors occurred in humans, Goodall answered: "Probably, on occasion. But I truly believe that the majority of individuals are decent."
